Apple releases iTunes 11 and iCloud Control Panel 2.1 Update [ Windows ] Release Note

1

What’s new on iTunes 11 :

• Completely Redesigned. iTunes makes it more fun to explore and enjoy your music, movies, and TV shows. You’ll love the beautiful edge-to-edge design, custom designs for each album, movie, or TV show in your library, and getting personal recommendations any time you click In the Store.

• A New Store. The iTunes Store has been completely redesigned and now features a clean look that makes it simpler than ever to see what’s hot and discover new favorites.

• Play purchases from iCloud. Your music, movie, and TV show purchases in iCloud now appear inside your library. Just sign-in with your Apple ID to see them. Double-click to play them directly from iCloud or download a copy you can sync to a device or play while offline.

• Up Next. It’s now simple to see which songs are playing next, all from a single place. Just click the Up Next icon in the center display and they’ll instantly appear. You can even reorder, add, or skip songs whenever you like.

• New MiniPlayer. You can now do a whole lot more with a lot less space. In addition to showing what’s playing, MiniPlayer now includes album art, adds Up Next, and makes it easy to search for something new to play—all from a smaller and more elegant design.

• Improved search. It’s never been easier to find what you’re looking for in iTunes. Just type in the search field and you’ll instantly see results from across your entire library. Select any result and iTunes takes you right to it.

• Playback syncing. iCloud now remembers your place in a movie or TV show for you. Whenever you play the same movie or episode from your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple TV, it will continue right where you left off.

What’s New on iCloud Control Panel 2.1 :

  • Windows 8 support
  • Stability and Performance Improvement

Google Earth 7.0.1.8244 [ Windows ]

Download Here

What’s New

  • Support for 3D imagery data: 3D data provides a comprehensive representation of metropolitan environments around the world. 3D imagery is currently available in the these areas.
  • Tour Guide mechanism in the client: The new tour guide allows you to explore interesting places around the world, even if you don’t know to search for them. As you move, thumbnails of pre-created tours and points of interest will dynamically update with interesting locations in your current view. Read more.
  • Support for terrain data accessed via Google Maps Engine
  • Zooming in now tilts at a higher elevation in order to showcase 3D imagery
  • A unified graphical rendering pipeline
  • Redesigned startup tips and status bar

Issues fixed in this release

Google Earth Client

  • Fixed a Pro and Enterprise bug whereby cached login data disappeared after upgrading to Mac OS 10.8+.
  • Sound can now be recorded from a microphone when producing a tour.
  • Improved Atmosphere feature for users on certain NVIDIA GeForce cards.
  • Polygons clamped to seafloor now display correctly.

Known issues in Google Earth 7

  • PC Enterprise users will note flashing historical imagery when going to the minimum date of the time slider in a handful of areas around the world. To workaround, use 6.2 for Enterprise.
  • Terrain, imagery and polygons that overlap the antemeridian occasionally appear broken.
  • This build includes changes to shaders that strain older graphics cards. Please see system requirements for updated lists of recommended hardware.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Jelly Bean Update

New main features / Improvement :

  • Redesigned notification shade
  • File transfers over Android Beam
  • Task switcher and Google Now
  • ‘Easy mode’ and home screen launcher enhancements
  • Dormant mode
  • S Note Lite
  • New ‘Help’ application

Others :

  • S Planner has undergone a slight visual overhaul — the lines are cleaner and clearer, and it’s easier to tell what’s going on when multiple events are overlapping.
  • The option to limit background data usage, which was confusingly absent from ICS-based Galaxy S3 firmware, is now available in the Jelly Bean update.
  • As we mentioned in our earlier walkthrough, the Galaxy S3’s performance isn’t noticeably faster wth any of the official Jelly Bean builds we’ve tried. That’s not too surprising, as the phone is blisteringly fast on ICS.
  • TouchWiz is obviously still the dominant user experience here, and we suspect most mainstream users — or “civilians” as we call them around here — probably won’t even notice what’s changed when the Jelly Bean OTA drops.
  • Speaking of which, the latest leaked Jelly Bean build, dated Aug. 14, is mostly fast and stable, and we wouldn’t be surprised if the rumors of a late August or early September release for the (international) update pans out.
